The Ohio Civil Service Employees Association is an affiliate of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees and:

• Has more than 36,000 members
• Represents 28 state agencies, boards, and commissions
• Has 17 independent state-elected officials and local governments

OCSEA offers services such as contract negotiations, arbitrations, lobbying on issues that affect public employees, legal services, education programs, conventions, conferences, publications, facilities costs, utilities, and supplies.

No dues money is spent on partisan political activities. Political action funds raised through voluntary donations are distributed through AFSCME's PEOPLE program and OCSEA's political action committee.
