 SCHEDULED TRAININGS

Advanced Steward's Training: This is a three-hour course on the elements of major contract articles. This course has been updated to reflect current issues affecting changing workplaces. This course is necessary, with Steward's Training, for steward certification. REGISTER ONLINE

Basic Steward's Training (Part 1 and Part 2): This six-hour course provides the fundamentals of stewardship. Participants will learn the grievance, discipline and Working Out of Classification procedures. This course is necessary for steward certification. It is presented over the course of two three-hour week day sessions or one six-hour Saturday session. REGISTER ONLINE

FMLA Basics: Three-hour course covering the Family and Medical Leave Act eligibility and usage requirements. REGISTER ONLINE

Handling Pre-Discipline Hearings:  Three-hour class that covers how to prepare for a pre-discipline hearing and the role and function of a steward in pre-Ds. REGISTER ONLINE

Layoffs - This three-hour course outlines the paper layoff process and bumping rights and responsibilities of union leaders during the layoff process. REGISTER ONLINE

Promotion Language:  Three-hour course covering the meaning and intent of Article 17 Promotion language, tips for filling out applications and issues for consideration in promotional grievances. REGISTER ONLINE
