Convention Theme Logo: A New Partner; A New Beginning...Subordinate bodies may submit proposals before convention
In accordance with Article XII of the OCSEA Constitution, proposed amendments to the Constitution must be submitted in writing to the OCSEA office.

If your chapter is planning on proposing a large number of amendments to the Constitution or By-Laws, it would be appreciated if they are submitted electronically (disk or email attachment) in addition to the hard copy.

forms  To propose amendments to the Constitution, By-Laws, Subordinate Body Constitution, or Resolutions, the appropriate form must be completed and submitted.

The Amendments Proposal Form (PDF) will be offered in a PDF format and a Word format. Return the completed forn to OCSEA, Attn: Constitution Committee, 390 Worthington Road, Suite A, Westerville, OH 43082-8331 by 5:00 p.m. on June 25 , 2007. Proposed amendments received after the specified deadline will not be considered by the convention, in order to ensure that such amendments can be distributed to all chapter presidents at least 30 days prior to the Convention.

Subordinate bodies are also asked to submit a copy of the body’s minutes showing that the body did adopt the recommended amendment at a meeting of the body.

Constitutional amendments received after 5 p.m. on June 25, will not be considered by the Convention. Proposed amendments to the Constitution, By-Laws or Subordinate Body Constitution must be signed by the President and one other officer of the subordinate body proposing the amendment.

At the Convention, a two-thirds majority vote is required for amending the Constitution. It takes a simple majority to amend the by-laws.
