Credentials committee plays important role
In accordance the OCSEA Constitution & Bylaws, the Convention Credential Committee's major responsibility is to certify the participation of properly elected delegates to the convention.

The committee reviews challenges raised regarding a delegate’s credentials, and makes recommendations to the Convention regarding the seating of such delegate. The delegates approve resolutions, constitutional amendments and they also vote for the President, Vice-President and Secretary-Treasurer of OCSEA.

If OCSEA Central Office does not receive credentials by the July 20, deadline set forth in the Convention Call, a delegate is considered an "irregular" delegate (late registrant).

Irregular delegates cannot be seated at the Convention until the Credentials Committee approves him/her and the Convention Delegates approve their seating (early Thursday morning). Irregular delegates will be given a guest badge until they receive their full credentials.
