Union prepares for OCSEA's 27th Biennial Convention this summer in Columbus

March 30, 2007 - OCSEA today mailed a preliminary delegate count, all forms, and complete convention information.

DELEGATE ELECTIONS The online meeting notice request system is available for subordinate bodies who need to give notice—via the summer issue of the Public Employee Quarterly magazine or by a mailer—regarding election of delegates to the convention. Members may also return a completed paper form (PDF) to OCSEA.

An official 180-day convention notice was mailed in February to the OCSEA Board of Directors as well as presidents and secretaries of subordinate bodies.

CAMPAIGNING  Elections of statewide officers will take place at OCSEA's 27th Biennial Convention set for Aug. 23 - 25, 2007. The Office of General Counsel last week mailed a letter to the State Board of Directors and subordinate body presidents and secretaries detailing the union's procedure for distribution of campaign literature. This three-day event will take place at the Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. Hotels are taking reservations now through July 21 for the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Aug. 1 for the Hyatt. LEARN MORE
