NewsYour union web source on convention business Members question, offer input to elected convention delegates Aug. 8, 2007 - In about two weeks, delegates to OCSEA 27th Biennial Convention will elect the union's top officers — President, Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer. Delegates also will reject or approve resolutions and consider proposals to amend the union's constitution and bylaws. Resolutions put the union on record as supporting various issues like fighting contracting out, for example. They do not, however, involve amending the OCSEA Constitution or By-Laws. Union members who are not seated as a convention delegate can still get involved.
The nomination of officers will take place on Thursday, Aug. 23, while the election is set for the morning of Friday, Aug. 24. The election results will be announced late Friday. See Related
