Health Care
Take Charge! Live Well! is a health and wellness program brought to you by the labor management Joint Health Care Committee. The program is designed to improve the overall health of employees and their families… and to help manage the cost of healthcare benefits. The program's launch date is Nov. 1, so members should look for information packets in their home mailbox the first week or two the month. Here's some details to consider in the meantime. While the program is entirely voluntary, it’s designed to be uncomplicated to encourage participation. A good way to start the program is by filling out an optional confidential Health Risk Assessment questionnaire that provides an easy-to-understand overview of participants’current and potential health risks. The HRA is available online through any of the three health care providers or from a benefits administrator and takes about 20 minutes to complete. After filling out an HRA, participants will receive $50 through payroll. Participants also may choose to earn incentives through signing up for additional health programs. See Related
