Open Enrollment: May 3-16

April 20, 2010 - This year, health care open enrollment for state employees is May 3-May 16. During the open enrollment period, OCSEA members will have an opportunity to make changes to their health care plan as well as Union Benefits Trust legal, dental, vision and supplemental life services. Participants can enroll their eligible dependents during the upcoming open enrollment period, including unmarried children up to age 28. FULL STORY

Delta Dental becomes NEW dental carrier July 1
April 6, 2010 - Effective July 1, 2010, union-represented State of Ohio employees who have dental benefits under the Union Benefits Trust will have their dental plan administered by a new provider, Delta Dental of Ohio.

Dependent health care terminated Nov. 30? It’s not too late to reinstate
Dec. 9, 2009 - OCSEA members whose dependents were terminated Nov. 30 can have their dependents’ health care and Union Benefits Trust dental and vision coverage reinstated prior to the summer 2010 open enrollment period – if proper documentation required for eligible dependents can be provided FULL STORY

The Joint Health Care Committee (JHCC) is a labor management committee responsible for monitoring all health care benefits—except vision, dental and life.
