New wellness program introduced at upcoming meetings statewide

Take Charge Live WellSept. 11, 2007 - Take Charge Live Well is a health and wellness initiative being developed by the Joint Heath Care Committee.

The huge initiative, expected to be unveiled this fall, will assist state employees in "taking charge" of their own health and well-being by introducing new programs, including an incentive program, and revamping old ones.

Program component highlights:

  • Preventive Care Reminders
  • Health Screenings
  • 24/7 Nurse Line
  • Educational Materials
  • Online Resources
  • Personalized Health Coaching
  • Healthy Living Programs

The Healthy Living group, for example, includes the following type of programs: tobacco cessation, weight reduction, physical activity, stress reduction, chronic condition assistance, healthy meal choices, and blood pressure reduction.

Are you a subordinate body officer who would like to get more information as the Take Charge Live Well program is unveiled?
