News Register now for February event; Keynote speaker to address TurnAround Ohio plan Update: As of the afternoon of Feb. 2, registration has closed for the Feb. 15 event. Jan. 18, 2007 - Can bureaucracy in state government can be turned around to provide customers the service they are looking for? With hope rekindled by a new administration, many Ohio quality activists would answer,"Yes." The Ohio Quality Network's upcoming Pathways to Excellence event will feature Jim Chrisinger, author of Iowa’s Accountable Government Act. Jim addressed the Strickland/Fisher Transition Team and provided support for their "TurnAround Ohio Government Accountability Plan" by sharing stories, strategies, and data from his state's plan on how to:
The event will take place on Thursday, Feb. 15, at the BWC William Greene Building at 30 Spring Street in Columbus, Ohio 43215. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the program runs 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Ohio’s quality partnership has worked on this kind of goal oriented, measured results type of service for 14 years. The OQN is hopeful that the keynote speaker's experience might help union quality activists develop insight into how we can support a performance based, measurement, and accountability framework for Ohio. The union encourages members to come and hear Chrisinger's experience of how the bureaucracy in government can be turned around to provide customers the service they are looking for.
