Frontline workers suggest, implement process improvement, efficiency ideas

GOT IDEAS?

To share ways in which you believe work processes can be improved, browse http://efficiency.ohio.gov and complete the online suggestion form.

For nearly 15 years, state employee union members have been making the delivery of public services more effective and efficient.

In fact, employee suggestions implemented 1992 through 2002 saved the State of Ohio millions of dollars not to mention the improved public services and more efficient work processes.

Now, more than ever—with budget cuts looming—the union is working to ensure that front line workers have a voice to:

  • Save money and jobs
  • Take back work that's been contracted out
  • Receive recognition for playing a proactive, constructive role in state government
  • Engage bargaining unit members in non-traditional union activities.

If you're interested in using quality principles to help make Ohio better, consider volunteering for a process improvement team or be a facilitator, mentor, coach or quality advocate for your office or chapter.
