Union Education Trust offers up to $1,000 per fiscal year for advanced HT courses

Nov. 22, 2006 (updated Nov. 30, 2006) - The Union Education Trust (UET) now offers up to $1,000 per fiscal year for advanced HT courses.

ODOT Assembly leaders worked closely with the UET Chair Ronald C. Alexander in an effort to give ODOT bargaining unit members another opportunity to succeed in the HT Series.

The HT external certification courses are pre-approved by UET, so all union members need to do is fill out the application and submit a signed registration form.

Please note that UET policies for the Professional Enrichment (PE) program also apply to the  HT courses. Specifically, UET will pay for a PE / HT course one time per fiscal year.

Courses that can be taken through the PE include:

  • Aggregate 1, 2 and 3
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1
  • ORMCA Concrete Technician
  • Asphalt 3
  • Nuclear Safety

To apply for the Professional Enrichment (PE) program through the UET, call the toll-free number at 866-436-7900 or send an email requesting an application.
