News News impacting public employee union members A union-style Christmas story shared Dec. 22, 2006 - OCSEA Chapter 6700 in Portage County has long been a supporter of The Center of Hope in Ravenna, Ohio, an organization that provides food for residents in need. But this year, the chapter went the extra mile. Not only did they help to provide 400 families with boxes of non-perishable food and frozen turkeys, they also collected toys and spent $500 buying watches, board games, soccer and basketballs and other gifts for the older kids served by the center. In all, the chapter spent $1,500 to make sure that the families and children had a wonderful holiday season.
