News Email union with OAKS concerns, problems Jan. 19, 2007 (updated Jan. 26, 2006) - Are you or your chapter members having a problem with OAKS? Because of the starts and stops surrounding the OAKS rollout, there have been some questions raised about how well it’s going. Therefore, OCSEA is asking any members who are directly experiencing problems to contact the union. Please provide OCSEA with concrete examples by attaching to your email copies of your checks, e-pay records or responses from management.
Union members should also pay close attention to their paychecks in the next few months, particularly their accruals, to make sure they are accurate. Although a lot of rumors are circulating about how OAKS may or may not be performing, the information the union currently has is mostly hearsay. That’s why OCSEA is asking that union leaders and members email the union about their direct experience. If it is clear that members are being hurt by the change-over, leaders and stewards are encouraged to file a grievance. They should also let their staff representative know as soon as possible that an OAKS-related grievance has been filed. See Related
