Federal Trade Commission's Identify Theft Site - This site educates consumer's on the risks of identify theft and addresses how to deter, detect and defend against it. The website also offers tools to help victims file a complaint with the FTC or resolve a specific ID theft problem.

Ohio Identity Theft Victim Assistance Kit -
Attorney General's Office created the Identity Theft Verification Passport, a unique program which provides victims of identity theft a method of demonstrating to law
enforcement and creditors that their identity has been stolen, and of rehabilitating their credit
history and identifying any fraudulent criminal charges.

You may also call the AG's Identity Theft hotline at 888-694-3463 or 800-282-0515 or browse the AG's I.D. protection page.

Department of Commerce Consumer Hotline - 866-278-0003; hours are 8 to 5 pm Monday thru Friday, if someone wants to talk to a live person about what to do if they have concerns about their bank account.
