News Stewards study arbitration process during intensive, hands-on academy July 25, 2008 - A group of 24 dedicated union stewards participated recently in an intensive, week-long training and studied the arbitration process from beginning to end. This group also had the opportunity to test new knowledge and skills in an arbitration hearing and a mediation session. The annual OCSEA Steward Academy was held July 13 - 18 at Ohio University in Athens. OCSEA President Eddie L. Academy participants asked questions and received feedback from Arbitrator Craig Allen — a rare learning opportunity that normally wouldn't occur in an arbitration situation. All OCSEA stewards are encouraged to explore OCSEA classroom training options. See Related
