Maurice L. "Snookey" Reed, frirend of OCSEA and esteemed parlimenatian.May 11, 2009 - As OCSEA continued preparations last week for its 28th Biennial Convention set for Aug. 13 - 15, union leaders received word that our friend and esteemed parliamentarian passed away.

Maurice L. "Snookey" died Wednesday, May 6.

Over the years, union staff, leaders and hundreds of delegates to OCSEA's biennial conventions had the pleasure of getting to know Reed, who was a repeat presenter at the "New Delegates" workshop and helped union leaders keep order at the podium and on the convention floor. He will be especially missed by many for his easy smile, friendship and expertise.

Viewing will be at 9 a.m., the family will arrive at 10 .m. and the services will begin at 11 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by Porter-Qualls Funeral Home; 823 South Yellow Springs Street; Springfield, Oh 45560 (937) 325-1447.

Cards may be addressed to Mrs. Betty Reed and Family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
