OCSEA Leadership Academy brings chapters closer together

March 8, 2010 - The first-ever OCSEA Leadership Academy, or OLA, was held this past weekend March 5-6 in Mason, Ohio at the Great Wolf Lodge.

Chapter officers and activists converged north of Cincinnati for the training in which leaders learned more about the organization, worked through problems and set goals for 2010 and beyond.

“It was the best training I have ever attended,” said ODNR activist Rochelle Mickens, Chap. 2515. “I left on Sunday feeling very empowered, renewed and completely confident to revive my fellow members.”

She shared her energy with her brothers and sisters first thing Monday morning after she got back.

“We are so fired up and promised each other that we won’t let this fade away,” said Mickens. “We have work to do.”

She added one of the best parts of the training was having a chance to bounce ideas off of each other.
