Open Enrollment: May 3-16
NEW! Dependent eligibility expanded under state law

Share

April 20, 2010 - This year, health care open enrollment for state employees is May 3-May 16. During the open enrollment period, OCSEA members will have an opportunity to make changes to their health care plan as well as Union Benefits Trust legal, dental, vision and supplemental life services. Forms need to be mailed by May 14 in order for them to arrive on time.

Participants can enroll their eligible dependents during the upcoming open enrollment period. It is important for members to know that dependent eligibility is being expanded under a new state law. Now, unmarried children up to age 28 can be covered under the state plan at an additional cost, even if they are not enrolled in college. .

To find out more about the May 3-16 health care open enrollment period and to download the open enrollment change form, go to the Department of Administrative Services Open Enrollment website.

For information specific to dependent eligibility, including adding unmarried dependents up to age 28, click on the blue button “Pathways Open Enrollment Edition.” Benefit eligibility can be found on page 4 of the spring edition of the Pathways magazine, which is brought to you by DAS and the Joint Health Care Committee.
