OCSEA endorses Parks for OPERS board

Aug. 13, 2010 - As a member of the Ohio Public Retirement System Board of Trustees for the past three years, OCSEA President Eddie L. Parks has stood up for OCSEA members’ pensions while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

Now, more than ever, with stock market woes and pensions under attack, not just in Ohio but around the country, labor needs solid representation to protect their retirement funds now and into the future.

And that’s why OCSEA has endorsed Pres. Parks and encourages all OCSEA members to re-elect him for a term on the OPERS Board.

OPERS Board of Trustee ballots will be mailed out to pension members’ homes beginning Aug. 23. The deadline to return ballots to OPERS is Oct. 1.
