Vote on S.B. 5 expected next week Rally with us! Tell legislators to KILL THE BILL entirely

Share

Mar. 25, 2011 - OCSEA activists and supporters are urged to converge on the Ohio Statehouse Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week with one message: Senate Bill 5 is still unfair to Ohio workers – amended or not – and should not make it out of the Ohio House!

The March 29, 30 & 31 rallies will take place outside the Statehouse from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Shuttles will be travelling from OCSEA Headquarters to the Statehouse during those days.

It is anticipated that the House Commerce and Labor Committee will discuss new amendments to the bill on Tues. March 29, with a possible Committee vote expected the same day. A full House vote on the bill is likely on Wed. March 30 or Thurs. March 31.

“Our message is the same as it has been since the beginning: Kill the Bill!” said OCSEA Pres. Eddie L. Parks. “Senate Bill 5 is an unwarranted attack on working people and will do nothing to solve the budget and jobs crisis. No amendments can make this bill okay.”
