Your source on union-negotiated health care benefits

Why can't we all be covered? Maybe we can...

Sept. 12, 2003 - Come hear Dr. Mary Lou Shaw discuss the state of our health care system and the plan Physicians for a National Health Program recently published for achieving universal health coverage.

When? Thursday, September 18, 2003, 7:00 PM,

Where? Northside Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library (1423 N. High St, Columbus)

Presented by: Simply Living

Simply Living's Health Assurance Group came together in February 2003 to find a way to achieve health coverage and better health for Simply Living members and others who share the same quest. Discussions have covered a range of options for living healthfully and seeking change in a health care system that is not working for us.

This group has presented three previous educationals, all of which have been excellent and well received.

Mary Lou Shaw, M.D. is a Simply Living member, and a member of Physicians for a National Health Plan. She also is working with UHCAN Ohio and Single Payer Action Network in an effort to achieve universal health care.

Mary Lou is a family physician from Washington Courthouse, Ohio who has joined PNHP because of her profound belief and experience that the present health care system is in need of massive overhaul. Mary Lou provides health care to underserved areas.

When she delivers this talk she will have just arrived back from Alaska where she is providing primary care services in remote areas.
