News Your web source on union-negotiated benefits Take Charge! Live Well! May 27, 2009 - The Joint Health Care Committee's spring Road Show is still delivering free health screenings and Take Charge! Live Well! information to worksite locations through June 25. Incentive activities for the the current program year must be completed by June 30, 2009. The new TCLW program year begins July 1, 2009 and runs through June 30, 2010. Get a free health screening and earn $25 at a road show scheduled near you:
Employees and their spouses who are enrolled in any of the state’s health plans are automatically eligible to participate in the TCLW health and wellness program and incentive activities, including the workplace health screenings. A health screening takes about 20 to 30 minutes. A finger prick blood draw will test your total cholesterol, HDL, and blood glucose. You do not need to fast before your health screen, although some people choose to fast. It’s your choice. You can either schedule an appointment or walk in when it’s convenient for you. Appointments are recommended to reduce your waiting time, but some walk-in appointments will be welcome. Bring your health insurance card when you come to the screening. The JHCC is a labor management committee responsible for monitoring all health care benefitsexcept vision, dental and life.
