ID Protection News impacting public employee union members Get discounted identity protection, theft insurance June 2008 - In response to the 2007 theft of a computer back-up device containing the names and Social Security numbers of more than 64,000 state employees, the State of Ohio had offered a free, one-year identity protection service to help mitigate the circumstances.
