Meeting Rooms for Union Business Meeting room space is available to union leaders and staff for union business—as outlined in the constitution and bylaws and union contracts—such as OCSEA trainings and events, subordinate body meetings, and labor-management meetings and special events. OCSEA is unable to accommodate management-sponsored trainings and events, however, due to space and resource limitations. While the primary purpose for OCSEA's meeting room facilities is for union business, the union hall may be rented for personal use by active dues paying OCSEA union members per the Union Hall Lease Agreement. The Bowman Union Hall may be rented out to OCSEA members, at a cost, for personal events such as, retirements, graduations, wedding receptions, etc. The facilities manager handles all of the arrangements for personal use events. The Union Hall is not available on Sundays, Board of Directors meeting days, or Holidays. OCSEA reserves the right to suspend personal use for short terms due to priority union activities such as GOTV and negotiations. ROOM REQUESTS - OCSEA leaders and union members may contact customer service to request a meeting room. Send an email or call 888-OCSEA-11 (toll free) or 614-865-2257 (local). Our staff will help determine your facility needs and submit your request for approval. You will be advised if the request has been approved. CANCELLATIONS - To maximize the union's ability to meet members' meeting room requests, bookers are REQUIRED TO SUBMIT CANCELLATIONS at least one week in advance by contacting OCSEA customer service.
