News Your union web source on contract negotiations Survey seeks ODOT membership's top bargaining concerns
July 24, 2008 - As the ODOT Assembly prepares for agency-specific bargaining later this year, its leaders really want to know what issues are important to you as an ODOT bargaining unit employee. In the coming month, union staff and activists from every ODOT district and central office will visit with ODOT union members to get a feel for what their core issues are. Ask yourself now, "What contract issues matter most?" Union members who work for ODOT will be asked to fill out an agency-specific bargaining survey to specify top bargaining priorities. These answers will help shape priorities and strategies for negotiations. Surveys should be returned immediately to the visiting union representative or to any district steward or chapter president. All surveys are due by Sept. 1. "Collective Bargaining is an awesome responsibility, and you share part of it," says OCSEA / ODOT Assembly President Willa O'Neill. "Your ODOT agency-specific bargaining team looks forward to your input in developing a bargaining strategy." See Related
