Office of General Counsel

OCSEA's Office of General Counsel is the strategic result of merging the Legal and Dispute Resolutions departments into a better coordinated effort.

Under the direction of General Counsel Sandra Bell, the OGC staff work to address matters related to the union's legal issues, Constitution and Bylaws, and contract administration needs such as grievances, arbitrations, mediations, and impact bargaining.

This department also works with members and leader on subordinate body elections, contract negotiations, and the Judicial Internal Affairs Committee (JIAC).
