FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act): This practical introduction to the Family and Medical Leave Action will include an overview of the act, its interpretation, application and benefit to OCSEA bargaining unit members.

Introduction to Recognizing Bargaining Unit Work: Every union leader must be alert to make sure bargaining unit work is performed by bargaining unit members. Participants will learn how to distinguish bargaining unit work from non-bargaining unit work and discuss petitions to the State Employee Relations Board to bring work into the bargaining unit. Participants will also discuss how to address bargaining unit work performed by supervisors.
