Aug. 1, 2008 - OCSEA leaders are among the 6,000 delegates and guests in San Francisco this week for AFSCME's 38th International Convention, where OCSEA Pres. Eddie L. Parks was elected International Vice President. He joins a distinguished group of IVPs who hail from AFSCME locals and councils from across the nation. Parks will serve on the national union’s 35-member executive board which charts the overall course and sets policy for 1.6 million AFSCME members across the nation.
President Gerald W. McEntee and International Secretary-Treasurer William Lucy were both re-elected by delegates to another four-year term. Delegates also considered key resolutions and constitutional amendments that impact the union's governance and policy decisions. See Related
