Challenge GrantsYour source on political action, voter info & legislation Applicants urged to use Challenge Grant program for political action AFSCME challenged OCSEA. And, OCSEA has challenged its subordinate body officers to support Labor 2008 activities. To help local leaders get the job done, we've created an Action Pack Planning Kit and the OCSEA / AFSCME Challenge Grant program. The grant program provides people-powered resources to OCSEA chapters, assemblies and districts for campaign efforts. Priority is given to projects involving face-to-face communication, due to the importance and persuasive power of such activities. Some of those activities include:
As in the past, OCSEA would like to see subordinate bodies offer to their members the following:
Subordinate bodies are being asked to submit a Challenge Grant application after each event. OCSEA will reimburse subordinate bodies one-half of the cost of their walkers and phone bankers.
