Factsheets Tax information on candidate donations A tax credit of up to $50.00
per individual or $100.00 for joint filers, may be claimed under Ohio
law. Personal contributions made to candidates for the Ohio Legislature
and statewide office (such as the Governor) may be claimed on your 2002
personal state income tax return that will be filed in 2003. Eligible
contributions must be made to a specific candidate’s campaign committee. Q. Since Statewide candidate
contributions are permissible, as an employee of one of the state agencies,
can I make a contribution to Taft or Hagan? Q. Can I make a contribution
