Jan. 25, 2006 - Urge Your Representatives to Protect Services for Working Families! On Tuesday, Jan. 31, call your U.S. House member at 1-888-355-3588

Congress has unfairly targeted your family and millions of other families by cutting $40 billion to vital public services that help working families:

• $12.7 billion from Student Loans;
• $6.9 billion from Medicaid;
• $6.4 billion from Medicare;
• $1.5 billion from Child Support Enforcement;
• $343 million from Foster Care; and
• $732 million from Supplemental Security Income.

The Senate made some small changes and the bill goes back to the House for another vote on Feb. 1. We need you to call your Representative on Tuesday, Jan. 31 and tell them to VOTE NO TO BUDGET CUTS.
