Help Stop the Attack on Ohio Election Reform!

Aug. 23, 2005 - The Reform Ohio Now (RON) campaign's Ohio election reforms are being threatened by the exact type of corruption we’re fighting. The man overseeing the placement of our amendments on the ballot – Kenneth Blackwell – has sided with our opponents!

Our opponents, an anti-reform group, are trying to thwart the will of Ohio voters and prevent us from cleaning up Ohio’s government. They prefer a state where politicians aren’t accountable and corruption runs rampant.

TAKE ACTION   - Let's restore confidence in Ohio's elections by telling the Secretary of State to give us a fair shot. Send an email to Ken Blackwell now!

The Ohio Secretary of State has a responsibility to remain neutral in this democratic ballot process, but he has already undermined our efforts by inserting inflammatory language that was proposed by our opponents. This is exactly the problem with Ohio’s government that we’re trying to correct.

Read the newspapers and you’ll see Ohio is getting battered by political scandals. Just last week Ohio Governor Bob Taft made national headlines for his criminal conviction on ethics charges. It’s beyond time for a change. But Ohioans will not trust the process if Blackwell continues to put his political biases above his public duty.

Our opponents are spending millions and throwing lawsuits at us, trying to muffle the voices of half a million Ohioans who already said they want the right to vote on our commonsense reforms. We can’t afford to tolerate Blackwell’s biases.

Don't let Blackwell politicize the process. Click here to give Ohioans a real chance for reform.

We have a real chance to make a difference here. It would be a shame to come all this way, only to be brought down by the corruption we're out to clean up.

TELL-A-FRIEND  - After you take action, please send this article to 10 friends. Together we will clean up Ohio.

We can't succeed without your help. Thanks again for all you do to keep Ohio moving and for helping give real Ohioans a voice in this corrupt state. Your efforts are making an impact!
