Your source on political action, voter information and legislation

Volunteer at scheduled event or coordinate local phone bank

Nancy Moorer, BWC, makes phone calls for GOTV in 2006.As General Election Day approaches, many related union efforts—including GOTV phone banks and Labor-to-Labor Walks —will need your involvement to be successful in securing change that matters in 2008.

Scheduled Events:

Sep 22, 2008 (Monday) - 5:30 – 7:30; OCSEA HQ, 390 Worthington Rd, Westerville. District 6 will provide food and refreshments. Questions or to RSVP: Frances Henderson at 614- 409-2595 or red855@hotmail.com

As in the past, OCSEA would like to see subordinate bodies offer $25/member for at least 2 hours of phone banking. Half of that cost can be reimbursed through the Challenge Grant Program.

Additionally, check the regional map to identify the OCSEA Zone Staff in your area and ask about local phone bank scheduled in your area.

Chapter, district council, and assembly activists are encouraged to work with their zone staff to coordinate phone banking efforts to call their membership from regional locations or OCSEA headquarters in Westerville.

For more information, please contact your zone staff representative or your local leaders.
