It’s open enrollment time for UBT and state health care plans

Posted May 16, 2017 by

Open enrollment for the Union Benefits Trust (UBT) and State of Ohio health plans are running concurrently right now through Friday, May 26.

UBT open enrollment:

Between now and May 26, enroll or make changes to your dental, vision, life insurance and legal services. Your union-negotiated UBT dental, vision and basic life insurance benefits are provided to members at no monthly premium cost.

In addition to enrolling in plans, open enrollment gives OCSEA members the opportunity to update or add dependents, change vision plans, increase supplemental life insurance coverage, update beneficiaries and more.

The UBT Open Enrollment Guide and the Prudential Supplemental Life Insurance information was mailed to members’ homes. The enrollment guide is available online at benefitstrust.org.

State of Ohio health care open enrollment:

Eligible state employees not currently enrolled or who need to make changes to their health care plans can do so through May 26. This includes adding newly eligible or forgotten dependents.

Changes made during this time are effective July 1, 2017. Look for more info at the Dept. of Administrative Services (DAS) website.
