Day of Action

Join hundreds who took action last week; Keep calling, writing legislators on budget

Union members statewide called, wrote to legislators on OCSEA's Day of ActionHelp stop further cuts to vital public services that are provided by state employee union members. Drastic cuts are being considered by Ohio’s legislature to fill a $3.2 billion budget gap. What's at Stake?

Tell lawmakers that we can’t afford more cuts.

  1. Phone your legislator Because one-on-one contact is the most important way to reach out to state legislators, we PREFER THAT UNION MEMBERS MAKE PERSONAL PHONE CALLS to ask their legislators not to cut their jobs or services.  TAKE ACTION NOW

  2. Write letter / postcard to your legislator Can't make the call on June 23 or just want to do more to help? Send hand written letters and post cards, so that legislators will receive them as union members make calls on OCSEA's Day of Action. Local leaders and staff reps may be able to provide postcards. TAKE ACTION NOW

  3. Email your legislator Send emails now in addition to making phone calls and writing personal letters or postcards.TAKE ACTION NOW
