about reform legislation?
At the same time, more than 47 million Americans don’t have health insurance because they can’t afford it. BUT it’s not just families who can’t afford health insurance, it’s also governments. Governments purchase health care for a variety of groups including the sick, disabled and elderly as well as inmates in correctional facilities. When health care costs go up, government budgets are squeezed. When that happens, OCSEA members’ job security is at risk. We need guaranteed coverage for all – with a standard PEOPLE—Public Employees Organized for Political and Legislative Equality—carries the voice of public employee union members to the Statehouse and Capitol Hill on issues like federal funding, state budget priorities, and health care legislation.
