News Your source on political action, legislation & voter info Good news on voter registration Sept. 7, 2006 - Last Friday a Federal Court struck down Ken Blackwell’s new rules for voter registration. The new rules had the effect of crippling voter registration drives amongst unions, minorities and poor people. A coalition of groups went to court to put a stop to this attempt to suppress the vote in Ohio. We succeeded. The Court ordered Blackwell to cease and desist all efforts to enforce the new rules and further ordered him to remove them from his website. We now can go forward with our normal voter registration efforts without interference from Blackwell! See Related
