Leaders gathered Saturday for Presidents Conference; Activists shared best practices

Sept. 18, 2006 - OCSEA President Ron Alexander welcomed nearly 300 subordinate body presidents and other leaders Saturday morning in Columbus. The event took place Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Holiday Inn Worthington in Columbus.

The 2006 Presidents Conference speakers included: Alexander, OCSEA Executive Director Andy Douglas, AFSCME International President Gerald McEntee, Candidate for U.S. Senate Sherrod Brown, and Candidate for State of Ohio Treasurer Richard Cordray.

McEntee is pictured above with retired OCSEA activists who have been talking to members about the importance of making our votes count on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

More than a dozen union activists shared best practices used by their own local chapters, district councils, and assemblies. Conference delegates recognized these efforts with enthusiastic rounds of applause. The activists who spoke include:
