Union studies Strickland's budget plan

March 15, 2007 - Governor Ted Strickland's Executive Budget Proposal for Fiscal Years 2008 and 2009 was submitted to the Ohio General Assembly and made available to the public today in accordance with state law.

Armed with knowledge from the recent two-day training—and countless past budget experiences— OCSEA leaders, activists and staff will now begin the difficult task of analyzing various aspects of the budget, including agency funding, and how it will affect the services state employees deliver to Ohio customers.

Although Strickland highlighted some of his budget proposals in his March 14 State of the State Address, The official documents submitted to the legislature offer better insight into the governor's plans, possible impact on our members, and the union's next steps in this budget process.
