Two issues that OCSEA leaders continue to advocate for include the prison panel and the state-operated MRDD pilot. The members of the committee have yet to be announced. Representatives of the House and Senate will work out their differences before sending the budget to Gov. Ted Strickland's desk for his review. Strickland has line-item veto power to strike portions of the Ohio General Assembly's version of the budget. The panel is set to meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, and 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 22. The panel is not scheduled to meet on Saturday, June 23, but is set to hold hearings every day from Sunday, June 24 through Friday, June 29.
