Nov. 5, 2007 - OCSEA wants to share with you that this Thursday, Nov. 8, you're invited to "Keep It Made In America," a Columbus Town Hall meeting with special guest John Ratzenberger (the actor who played Cliff in Cheers). The Nov. 7 Columbus Dispatch features an article titled, "Made in the USA," in the business section about the event. Ratzenberger now hosts Made in America on Travel Channel TV, a show that honors the men and women whose jobs are to make the products that sustain the American economy. Hear firsthand from community members who have experienced the loss of good jobs at decent companies, as they talk with John about how to keep manufacturing work in America. A light dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. Good jobs and viable domestic manufacturing are critical to maintaining vibrant communities. It's not surprising that these issues top the list of American voter concerns in every poll. Working America, a Community Affiliate of the AFL-CIO, wants to inform and mobilize people in key primary states to challenge all the presidential candidates on good jobs, fair trade, healthy communities and domestic manufacturing. What will they do about jobs, trade policy and the economic future for us and our families? This townhall meeting will equip you with the information that you need to find out where presidential candidates really stand on these important issues. See Related
