News Your source on political action, voter info & legislation Participate in federal budget briefing, find out what you can do to Make America Happen April 29, 2009 - Many unionists are wondering, "How do we make a clean break with the past eight years and get our economy moving again?" The union believes that the solution is to enact a bold new agenda that will create jobs and grow the economy. That's why AFSCME is laying out new strategies to strengthen our economy through strengthening public services, fixing health care, and growing our economy by growing the middle class through the Employee Free Choice Act. AFSCME's briefing will outline strategies and how you can become an activist and voice to make America happen. OCSEA local leaders and staff are encouraged to participate in online budget briefings on Thursday, April 30, at 4 p.m. for staff and 8 p.m. for local leaders. Join the online briefing through the AFSCME Academy. Participants must login 15 minutes before the session. For more information or assistance, contact AFSCME at academy@afscme.org or call (202) 429-1250. See Related
