Parks is encouraging all subordinate body officers and stewards to learn more about the importance of winning quality, affordable health care for all Americans. OCSEA activists who join in one of the four webinar sessions set for 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, and Thursday, May 28, will hear from AFSCME’s leading health care experts on how the national crisis. Participants also will receive a free T-shirt and walk away with talking points and action steps to help make health care reform happen. Events are moving quickly in Congress, with committees crafting legislation now, and voting expected in the Senate and House by August or before. All leaders, activists and staff are encouraged to attend and to pre-register now at the online AFSCME Academy.
