Urge Congress to keep public option in health care reform legislation

Sept. 4, 2009 - As Congress returns to Washington, D.C. to resume work, join OCSEA and the AFSCME family in sending a clear, strong message: Let's get it done!

Participate with the rest of the AFSCME family in Call-In Day on Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Tell Congress we need health care insurance reform that ensures choice with a public option, reduces costs, and maintains quality health care for all.

AFSCME International Pres. Gerald W. McEntee, along with OCSEA Pres. Eddie L. Parks, is asking all union members and their families to make the call to Congress on Wednesday, Sept. 9, to urge them to keep the public option.

The same day you call, Pres. Barack Obama will address Congress on getting the job done of passing Comprehensive Health Care Reform this session.

In addition, on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 6:15 p.m., union activists are invited to participate in an exclusive strategy call on health care reform with HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, hosted by AFSCME Pres. Gerald McEntee.
