Bush to arrive in Ohio to sell tax cut idea

April 24, 2003 - In anticipation of tomorrow's visit to Canton and Lima, Ohio by President Bush, the House Government Reform Committee Democrats have released out a report on the impact of the President's tax proposals on Ohio.

Additionally, yesterday the House Appropriations Committee Democrats noted that according to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics data, Ohio has lost 167,800 jobs, or more than 3% of its total workforce, since Bush was sworn in.

More specifically, the Canton metropolitan area has lost 6,300 jobs (3.43% of its workforce) and the Lima area has lost 2,500 jobs (3.18% of its workforce) since Bush took office.
