Voter Information
Your source on political action, legislation & voter info

Exercising your right to vote is just one way you can personally and collectively take action against privatization of public services, risky pension reform proposals, overtime take-aways, trade-related job loss, and political maneuvers to stop election reform.

The Secretary of State (SOS) offers elections information on a statewide basis, including county Board of Elections contact information. Voter Information Guide.

Early Voting  Starting Oct. 9, voters may request the early voters ballot for the Nov. 4 Primary Election. An application by mail must be received by your County Board of Elections by noon on the third day before the election. Applications by the voter in person must be received by the close of regular board hours the day before the election. Applications for persons who are hospitalized by a medical emergency will be accepted until 3 p.m. on election day. LEARN MORE

Endorsements and race details are online for members only. OCSEA is committed to supporting candidates who support our union members and the public services they deliver. LEARN MORE

Election Day Polling Locations -  The polls are open the first Tuesday every November, 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., for General Elections. The polls are also open in May. Browse the SOS your county Board of Elections Office listings for email, website, and phone contact information. Still need more help? Call OCSEA Customer Service at 888-OCSEA-11.

Sick in the hospital on Election Day? Applications for persons who are hospitalized by a medical emergency will be accepted until 3 p.m. on election day. Do you know someone who is eligible? Hospital social workers can intervene on behalf of someone who has been recently hospitalized.

Voter Registration  The deadline to register to be able to vote in the March 4 Primary Election was Feb. 4. It's never too early, however, to get registered for the next election. Use the SOS website to request an Ohio Voter Registration form. LEARN MORE
