Pathways a success

The 2010 Pathways to Excellence was a resounding success. Over the two days we had nearly 300 state employees in attendance. It was a great time for state employees to network and learn new skills to improve the service they provide to the citizens of Ohio.

During opening remarks we heard about the expansion of the Agency Review Teams in the agencies and how state employees can get more involved in making money saving suggestions.

Event attendees gave great reviews for the workshops they attended. The workshops included:

  • Coach-able Moments (handout) – David Sapper, ODJFS
  • Dealing with Difficult People and Situations – Amy Malone, Taxation
  • Generations in the Workplace (handout) – Mike Salmon, FMCS
  • Group Think (handout) – Art Flesch, Organizational Alchemy Associates
  • Myers-Briggs (handout) – Carol Schubert, ODOT
  • Management and Leadership – A Continuum – E. Rene Brandon, City of Columbus
  • Lean Tools (handout) – Jim Dickey, Guidon Performance Solutions.

Watch for more information about trainings presented by the Ohio Quality Network.
