AFSCME offers members free child ID kits

Posted Oct. 20, 2016 by

AFSCME is partnering with the National Child Identification Program because each year nearly a million children are abducted or run away and many are never returned to their families. That’s a staggering statistic and one that our union can help to reduce.

This month, AFSCME members and retirees will receive a child identification kit in the fall issue of Works, AFSCME's union member magazine. These kits can be used to store a child's fingerprints and DNA in case the child goes missing.

Keeping our children safe is the most important job of our lives. That’s why AFSCME partnered with the National Child ID Program to provide a free ID kit to members.

Other partners with the National Child Identification Program include the United Autoworkers, the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions.
