Next Wave: Coming together for the future of labor

Posted Sep. 28, 2016 by

OCSEA District 6 leaders know that new and young state employees are the future: the future of public service and the future of the labor movement. A record number of state employee union members continue to retire and are leaving a hole in public service and unionism that desperately needs filled.

That’s why, this October 8, the district will sponsor a Next Wave Conference for new and young members, and their union mentors, about the issues that concern them and how they can make a difference in their union and community.

The Next Wave Conference will take place Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The event will be held at the OCSEA Union Hall, 390 Worthington Rd., Westerville, Ohio 43082. DOWNLOAD THE FLIER.

To RSVP for the conference, contact Roschelle Holcomb at  614-732-6725 (text or call) or Debbie King-Hutchinson at 614-329-2536. This event is open to all members across Ohio. All OCSEA new and young members, and their union mentors, are encouraged to attend.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
